Natural Beginnings Lactation, LLC - STAFF
Meet both of our dedicated Lactation practitioners who have completed their required hours, and are awaiting their board exam results to fully become Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC). Each of our staff brings her own unique background and passion for supporting families on their breastfeeding journeys. Under the guidance of our experienced team, they have gained hands-on training, have built the skills and made preparations needed to provide compassionate, evidence-based lactation care.
Meet our Lactation Practitioners
Abi Hoffman, RN, CLSP is an experienced nurse with 10 years of experience in labor and delivery, mother/baby support and newborn care.
After taking time off to raise her own kids, Abi
is now even more passionate about helping
moms succeed with breastfeeding.
With a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Texas Woman's University and a certification as a
Lactation Support Provider (CLSP),
Abi is on her way to becoming an International
Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
When she's not supporting new moms, you can find Abi sipping coffee on her back patio, reading a good book, or spending time with her husband and teens.
Katheryn López, MD, CBS a dedicated doctor
with a heart for helping moms and babies thrive.
With a medical degree from Marist University in Mexico, Katheryn has gained valuable experience in hospitals and rural areas, including assisting with deliveries.
Katheryn is also a skilled linguist, fluent in
Spanish, English, and Italian, allowing her to
connect with families from diverse backgrounds.
As a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS),
she's now working towards becoming an
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant -
with Natural Beginnings. When she's not supporting
new nursing mothers, she enjoys exploring
new cities and trying delicious foods with her fiancé.
Administrative Assistant
Alyssa Vargas, is the first friendly voice you'll hear when you reach out to our office. As our administrative assistant, she handles everything from scheduling and insurance verification to connecting clients with the right member of our team—whether that's Diana, Sharon, Abi, or Katheryn. With over 14 years of customer service experience and a background in psychology, Alyssa brings both compassion and efficiency to every interaction. She is very enthusiastic about helping other parents get the support they need.
As a proud stay-at-home mom of two toddlers, Alyssa shares a deep understanding of the desire and commitment involved in breastfeeding, especially if the ups and downs of parenting a baby sometimes present challenges.
Originally from California, Alyssa and her family have called Dallas home for the past three years. She has worked closely with Diana for nearly as long, and deeply values being part of a team that is not only incredibly knowledgeable but genuinely supportive.
