Our Interns and Staff
Our staff brings their own unique background and passion for supporting families on their breastfeeding journeys. Under the guidance of our experienced team, our Interns are provided up to 500 hours of compulsory hands-on training, they build on required technical lactation skills while making necessary preparations to provide our mothers compassionate, evidence-based lactation care.
Meet our Lactation Practitioner Abi, a dedicated consultant who has completed her required hours, awaiting her board exam results to fully become a Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Abi Hoffman, RN, CLSP is an experienced nurse with 10 years of experience in labor and delivery, mother/baby support and newborn care.
After taking time off to raise her own kids, Abi
is now even more passionate about helping
moms succeed with breastfeeding.
With a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Texas Woman's University and a certification as a
Lactation Support Provider (CLSP),
Abi is on her way to becoming an International
Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
When she's not supporting new moms, you can find Abi sipping coffee on her back patio, reading a good book, or spending time with her husband and teens.
Meet our newest Lactation Intern Karin, a Breastfeeding Specialist who is working on her lactation practice hours, observing us working with moms and babies, on her path to becoming a Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Karin Tang, BS, CBS is a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) and aspiring International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with a B.S. in Communication Sciences
and Disorders.
She began her working life as a neuromonitoring technologist before stepping away to start a family. Her journey into motherhood deeply shaped her passion for maternal-infant health.
Karin’s experiences as a bereaved parent and NICU mom inspired her to support families navigating infant feeding challenges. She has become an active voice in the infant loss and bereavement advocacy space.
Now a mother to a baby boy, Karin is proud to provide compassionate, evidence-based lactation care. When she’s not assisting families, she enjoys floral design, playing pickleball, and sipping on iced lavender honey lattes.

Meet Alyssa, our Admin guru, who assists with your Insurance, pairing you with just the right Consultant for your needs - then helping you to schedule for your lactation visits.
Alyssa Vargas is the first friendly voice you'll hear when you reach out to our office. As our administrative assistant, she handles everything from scheduling and insurance verification to connecting clients with the right member of our team—whether that's Diana, Sharon or Abi. With over 14 years of customer service experience and a background in psychology, Alyssa brings both compassion and efficiency to every interaction. She is very enthusiastic about helping other parents get the support they need to breastfeed.
As a proud stay-at-home mom of two toddlers, Alyssa shares a deep understanding of the desire and commitment involved in breastfeeding, especially if the ups and downs of parenting a baby sometimes present challenges.
Originally from California, Alyssa and her family have called Dallas their home for the past three years. She has worked closely with Diana for nearly as long, and deeply values being part of a team that is not only incredibly knowledgeable but genuinely supportive.
