Q - What is the value of using a hospital grade or professional grade Pump?
For your comfort and safety, a good quality hospital or professional grade pump allows
a selection
of both speed and vacuum ... Symphony features physiological Autocycle® action, simulating a baby’s natural sucking pattern.
Q - Why would I need to 'rent' a pump if it costs less to own one?
During those critical early weeks and/or when baby is not breastfeeding well,
[8-12 X times daily] or if he has a poor latch, the lack of milk removal will cause a
milk production slowdown. A hospital grade pump is more similar to babys' effective suck, than a professional grade pump.
The Pump In Style® (a professional grade pump) was made for use by those mothers planning a regularly scheduled separation, and who have a well-established milk supply
- which most typically occurs sometime
after 5 to 6 weeks postpartum.
Q - How do speed and vacuum effect my pumping experience?
The adjustable vacuum
protects mothers from excessive or prolonged suction.
Remember that a faster speed is actually more comfortable than slower speed.
Q - What kind of pumping pain is normal?
Pumping should never cause pain! If you feel pain, consider the size of your breast shield flanges. See these links for more information.
