DOULAS

"If a doula were a drug,
it would be unethical not to use it."

John H. Kennell, MD. cofounder, DONA

DALLAS DOULA NETWORK
- A Sharing Forum for Doulas

Dallas Doula Network was founded in March 2002 to provide
a forum for doulas to share, network, obtain continuing
education, and promote maternal - child health
in an open and supportive environment.

DDN is unique in that there are no dues, affiliations or commitments.
Members are free to join and share as they feel comfortable.

Members communicate through a yahoo e-group.
A listing of members is maintained on the site.

Members share files, links and tips for providing doula care,
business information, and support via the e-group.

Members arrange meetings and in-services as needs arise.
Meetings take place at various locations throughout the Dallas
metropolitan area, and are held mornings, afternoons and evenings
in order to accommodate varied schedules.

To join, simply go to www.yahoogroups.com,
enter "DallasDoulaNetwork" in the search window and
indicate your desire to join. You are asked to provide
a short introduction before your membership is approved.
The introduction enables the group to prevent "Spam" memberships.

Doulas, women interested in becoming doulas, childbirth educators, breastfeeding educators, lactation consultants, midwives, Labor and Delivery nurses and others interested in promoting doula care are welcome to join DDN.
