Linda firmly believes in the

philosophy of "a doula for every

woman who wants
one"

A prolific author, Linda currently

writes a column for ICEA's peer

publication, The International Journal

of Childbirth Education,
and has

written several feature articles,

including the well-received

"Fathering Without Feeding"

Linda Worzer, BME, IBCLC, RLC, AAHCC, BDT (DONA)


A Charter member of DONA International, Linda is also a DONA International
approved Doula Trainer, a Certified Labor Doula [BDT(DONA)],
an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, [IBCLC, RLC]
and a Certified Childbirth Educator in
the Bradley Method® of Childbirth Education [AAHCC].
She has attended around 500 births as a labor assistant / doula.

Linda has often helped to find funding for or provide scholarships for
many disadvantaged doulas-in-training and when needed,
for some of her childbirth education participants.


In her 34 years in the field of Maternal-Child health, Linda co-founded
the first doula organization in Dallas County; as well as both of the
grass roots, lay-organizations: Cesarean Awareness and VBAC of Dallas.

Linda has served as a La Leche League Leader, La Leche League of
Texas Area Council Administrator, LLL Dallas Chapter Leader and
served on both DONA and CAPPA Boards of Directors.

Linda and her late husband Richard, were married for 25 years
and are the parents of four children; grandparents of their beautiful breastfed grandsons, Hayden and Andrew.

Daughter Sarah (in white) graduated High School
with honors from Ursuline Academy - then graduated from
Janie Christie School of Ballet and was honored at her recital
presentation, dancing as the principal, + acting as assistant choreographer.

Between Prom, Senior Retreat, Graduation, an Honors celebration for her
Girl Scout Gold Awards Ceremony at the Capital in Austin,
Linda, Sarah and their family had a busy and full spring schedule.

Linda's daughter Whitney, received her
MS Degree in Health Psychology and has now completed her PhD


In her spare time, Linda enjoys spending time with her daughter
Sarah (attending college), playing with her young grandsons Hayden
and Andrew,
working with children, gardening, singing, reading, hiking and jogging.
