Linda

frequently providing scholarships
for both doulas-in training
and
childbirth education participants.

Linda
is a Charter member of DONA International, and a DONA International approved
Doula Trainer, a Certified Doula, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, (IBCLC, RLC) and a Certified Childbirth Educator(AAHCC). She has attended over
450
births as a labor assistant.
A prolific author, Linda currently
writes a column for ICEA's peer publication, The International Journal
of Childbirth Education, and has written several feature
articles, including the well received "Fathering Without Feeding".
In her 28 years in the field of Maternal-Child health, Linda co-founded
the first doula organization in Dallas County; as well as both
Cesarean Awareness and VBAC of Dallas; served as a La Leche
League Leader and La Leche League of Texas Area Council Administrator,
and served on
both DONA and CAPPA Boards of Directors.
Linda
and her late husband Richard, were married for 25 years and are the parents of
four children.
